Porlock Doodle day is an annual event oragnised by my dear friend Mary Rook (not forgetting the family!), but I try to assist as much as I can!

The whole day takes place in Porlock, Somerset.

 

 

The morning/early afternoon consists of a walk across one of the many beautiful walks located in Porlock. The afternoon's events, or show, takes place at a small field attached to the Porlock Show.

 

In the show, there are many fun classes e.g. Best Six Legs (for men and dogs!), The Waggiest Tail and The Scruffiest Doodle. All ages are accepted in all classes and its a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere, much like a doodle!

 

All classes cost £1 to enter and ALL the money raised is donated to various local charities.

 

If anyone has any good-quality (1024 x 768+) pictures of any current and previous Doodle Days - please feel free to send them to me and will hopefully get them uploaded onto the gallery!

Another fantastic turnout on a glorious weekend for Doodle Day. Thank you all so much for coming and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

 

DOODLE DAY 2009

 

Rain, rain, and yet more rain! Doodle folk are a hardy bunch - still had a good number of people and Doodles on the walk. The show did go ahead but we had to finish early, everyone and every dog was drenched to the skin... but we still had fun!

This year was absolutely fantastic and there was a great turn out of Doodles and Doodle families from all over the country. Thank you all so very much for attending and we hope to see you all again next year!
